Nail Technician Apprenticeship

Changes City Spa is accepting applications for its nail apprenticeship program. The Changes City Spa nail apprenticeship program is approved by the Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR), which issues professional licenses and enforces standards of professional conduct in Virginia. The goal of the Changes City Spa nail apprenticeship program is to create, coach, and grow licensed professional nail technicians. The path to licensure consists of 2000 hours of paid on-the-job training, successful completion of coursework and testing through the Norfolk Technical Center, and passing scores on the DPOR written and practical exams.

Licensed Hair Stylist

Changes City Spa is seeking a talented, motivated Licensed Hair Stylist to join our growing team!

Front Desk Coordinator

Changes City Spa is seeking a personable, dependable, and motivated Front Desk Coordinator to join our team!

Our Front Desk Coordinators are an important part of the guest experience and the daily success of our salon and spa. We are looking for someone who is professional, welcoming, organized, and comfortable adapting to the unique situations that can arise throughout a busy workday.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with an excellent work ethic who enjoys working with people, learning new skills, and growing within a team-oriented company.

Qualifications

• At least two years of front desk, customer service, hospitality, salon, spa, or related experience
• Excellent work ethic, dependability, and professional attitude
• Personable, approachable, and confident when communicating with guests
• Able to work independently while also contributing to a team
• Comfortable using basic computer systems and learning new software
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Able to remain calm, friendly, and solution-focused in unexpected situations
• Willing to take initiative without needing constant direction
• Professional appearance and personal style appropriate for a luxury salon and spa environment
• Eager to learn, improve, and grow within the company
• Flexible availability, including some evenings and weekends, is a MUST!

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and create a welcoming first impression
• Answer incoming phone calls, respond to guest questions, and assist with appointment scheduling
• Check guests in and out accurately and efficiently
• Process payments, gift cards, packages, and retail purchases
• Communicate clearly with service providers and other team members
• Help manage appointment changes, cancellations, and scheduling needs
• Learn and confidently use the company’s scheduling and point-of-sale systems
• Maintain an organized, professional, and guest-ready front desk area
• Assist with daily opening, closing, and administrative responsibilities
• Recommend appropriate services, products, and future appointments when applicable
• Handle guest concerns with patience, professionalism, and discretion
• Adapt to changing priorities and unique situations throughout the workday
• Support salon and spa promotions, company standards, and team goals
